An Egyptian actor, born in Cairo in 1935, he studied psychology and sociology at the Faculty of Arts at Cairo University and graduated in 1958. He later studied at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts on the advice of his university professor and artistic supervisor at the time, Dr. Rashad Rushdi. After graduation, Hussein El-Sherbiny worked as a journalist in Al-Gomhouria newspaper, then he worked in Egyptian television after its opening in 1960. Hussein later joined the television theater, in which he presented several plays, including: An Apartment for Rent, for My Son. Hussein worked in cinema for the first time in 1964 through the movie (The Genie), and his cinematic participations increased successively, including: I killed the Hanash, They joined us, Abu Kartouna, Laughter, Play, Find and Love, and Sunstroke. In his last years, Ali Hussein El-Sherbiny suffered from diabetes complications, in addition to a fracture in his left foot joint, which kept him away from art until his death in 2007 at the age of 72 years.
