The Mad Man, is a 1988 Egyptian movie, directed by Ibrahim Al Shaqanqiry, and starring Esaad Younes, Abu Bakr Ezzat, Waheid Seif. with a runtime of 120 minutes.
The Mad Man is an Egyptian social comedy centered on Mohsen and Dalia, a happily married couple who move into a new apartment and promptly set about transforming the lives of their neighbors. Convinced they have discovered the key to happiness, they extend an invitation to the other residents to leave their stressed, unfulfilling lives behind. The wives are intrigued and receptive; their husbands, however, flatly refuse. What unfolds is a warm and gently satirical comedy of domestic life, using the couple's idealism as a mirror to reflect the hidden tensions and quiet discontents simmering beneath the surface of seemingly normal marriages.
