Three Stories is an Egyptian anthology film weaving together three separate tales that collectively paint a vivid portrait of Egyptian social life. The first story, Dunia Allah — adapted from Naguib Mahfouz and starring Salah Mansour and Nahed Sharif — follows a government courier nearing retirement who decides to embezzle his colleagues' salaries for a taste of the good life. The second, 5 Hours, exposes political corruption in Egypt before the 1952 revolution. The third, Bankruptcy of a Matchmaker, is a light comedy about a lonely bachelor's bumbling quest for a wife through a professional matchmaker. Together, the three stories form a rich social commentary on bureaucracy, corruption, and the everyday struggles of ordinary Egyptians.
