Monsters Run is an Egyptian black comedy film that ventures into bizarre and absurdist territory. Said and his doctor friend Nabil are close companions — and when Said proves unable to father children, Nabil devises an outlandish medical solution: transplanting part of the brain of a poor man named Abdul Qawi into Said's head. The procedure leaves Abdul Qawi in a state of severe exhaustion, while Said's wife remains unable to conceive despite the operation's technical success. As complications spiral and situations grow increasingly surreal, the film delivers a darkly comedic critique of medical ethics and desperate measures.
