Giant is an Egyptian drama that follows Zaki, a fifty-year-old bachelor celebrated in his community for his generosity and nobility of character. His well-ordered life is upended when the enchanting Mona sets her sights on him — not out of love, but out of calculated ambition. Seduced by the prospect of wealth and social status, she wins his heart and his hand. Once married, she systematically begins dismantling his world, isolating him from lifelong friends and bending his will to her desires. Giant is a cautionary tale about the vulnerability of good men to manipulation, and about how vanity and loneliness can blind even the most upstanding to the true motives of those around them.
