An Egyptian actor, born in 1929. He appeared in the mid-forties. He is considered one of the most famous extras in Egyptian cinema. He was famous for his evil roles. His roles in these works varied between a son of the country, a fruit and vegetable merchant, a bully, or a man from Upper Egypt. Although he excelled greatly in the role of an informant, some of his most famous films are (Struggle in the Mina, Sultan, My Mother-in-Law is an Angel, The Man Who Lost His Shadow, and The Bullet is Still in My Pocket). He died in 2015.
He worked as director Hani Lashin's manager.
Director Kamal Al-Sheikh gave him a special greeting during the events of the movie (The Thief and the Dogs), where his real name was mentioned among the names of the prisoners with whom Saeed Mahran, the hero of the movie, was imprisoned.
