Overview
Guard Dogs is an Egyptian thriller exposing the dark world of port corruption, where gang leader Effat runs a criminal operation smuggling spoiled food and drugs, shielded by powerful connections in high places. When straightforward customs officer Hamdi refuses to take a bribe and look the other way, Effat retaliates by framing him for a crime he did not commit, landing him in prison. Upon his release, Hamdi burns with a singular purpose: revenge against the man who destroyed his life and the corrupt system that enabled it. The film is a tense cat-and-mouse story about one honest man's determination to bring down entrenched power and corruption.
