The Accused is an Arabic thriller centered on Laila, a woman who agrees to marry a wealthy businessman after her fiancé — working abroad — abandons her by marrying someone else. The honeymoon is cut short when Laila rushes home due to her father's sudden deterioration. At the airport, she is arrested after heroin is discovered in her luggage — drugs she knew nothing about. As the investigation unfolds, Laila realizes the man she married is a drug smuggler who used her as an unwitting courier. Trapped between a false accusation and a devastating betrayal, she must fight to prove her innocence alone.
