Three on the Road is an Egyptian road drama following truck driver Mahmoud on a two-day journey from Luxor to Tanta. Along the way, he picks up Khalil, a runaway boy fleeing a cruel stepmother and searching for his mother in Tanta, and also agrees to drive Tahia to a friend's destination. What begins as a simple trip becomes an intimate human adventure as these three strangers are thrown together on the open road, facing unexpected challenges that reveal much about each of them. The film is a quietly moving portrait of kindness, hardship, and shared humanity.
