Overview
The Devil Preaches is an Egyptian drama set in the brutal world of neighborhood bosses and abuse of power. Dinary, a fearsome and powerful boss, sends his new enforcer Shata Al Hagary to secretly test the character of Widad, a young woman from the quarter, as a prelude to marrying her. Instead, Shata and Widad fall genuinely in love and elope to another district. When Al Shebli — Dinary's bitter rival and the boss of their new neighborhood — discovers what happened, he seizes the opportunity to crush Dinary's pride in the most savage way possible. A harrowing drama about injustice, revenge, and the innocent lives destroyed by the ego wars of powerful men.
