Overview
Driven from Paradise is an Egyptian philosophical drama about Alish, a humble dervish whose death sets off a quietly extraordinary journey. Borne in solemn procession to his grave, he ascends to heaven for judgment — only to discover that his virtues and his sins are perfectly balanced, leaving him ineligible for either paradise or hell. Sent back to earth for a brief, decisive trial, Alish must navigate the living world once more with everything on the line. The film is a thoughtful, imaginative meditation on morality, redemption, and the weight of a single life's choices.
