Overview

We Share Your Joy is an Egyptian comedy series that follows the protracted engagement of Mokhtar and Samia, a couple unable to wed after eight years together due to Cairo's relentless housing crisis. With no suitable apartment in sight and an interfering future mother-in-law constantly stoking conflict, the two struggle to hold their relationship together against a backdrop of rising rents and dashed hopes. The series blends light-hearted humour with sharp social commentary on the housing pressures facing young Egyptians, capturing the frustration of a generation forced to delay life's milestones. A relatable and warmly comedic portrait of love tested by circumstance.
