The Lock, is a 1982 Egyptian movie, directed by Omar Abdel Aziz, and starring Saeed Saleh, Younes Shalaby, Esaad Younes. with a runtime of 100 minutes.
The Lock is an Egyptian social comedy following Moftah, a teacher who loses his job and is taken on by his old classmate Sherif, the owner of a fashionable boutique. Moftah's blundering ways soon cost the store dearly, and Sherif fires him — but quickly finds a new use for him. Unwilling to leave his wife Farida unsupervised while he spends a week with his dancer girlfriend Eglal, Sherif hires Moftah to keep watch over her in exchange for a handsome fee. The film wrings sharp comedy from the absurdity of the arrangement, skewering male jealousy, misplaced trust, and the convenient friendships men maintain for mutual use.
