She was born in 1924 in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate. Widad performed nearly 600 works in films and plays and in multiple roles. She studied at the Acting Institute but graduated from it after two years.
Barakat presented her in the movie (This is My Father's Crime), and she worked in the Egyptian National Troupe, and acted in the play (Scheherazade) instead of Aqeela Rateb, then she worked in other plays during that period, including (Aziza and Younis).
She has been married more than once, and her husbands include Muhammad Al-Muji and Muhammad Al-Toukhi, and her marriage to the artist Salah Kabil is rumored. She retired in the 1960s due to her marriage, but the artist Warda brought her out of her isolation when she asked her to work in the play (Tamr Hanna).
Among her most famous plays are (Umm Ratiba), (20 Chicks and a Rooster), (Ten at the Minister’s Door), (A Game Called Love), and (They Kill Donkeys), and one of the series in which she worked is (Ghawish).
She was killed in 1994 by Regser, who stabbed her 35 times in the neck, chest and abdomen. He was later convicted and executed.
