Overview
God Is on Our Side is an Egyptian patriotic drama film set against the backdrop of the Palestine war. Officer Emad bids farewell to his fiance Nadia, the daughter of a wealthy merchant, before heading to the front — where he is wounded and loses his arm. Returning in defeat, he and a group of Free Officers uncover evidence that corrupt arms dealers, including Nadia's own father, supplied the army with defective weapons. Emad asks Nadia to search her father's documents for proof, forcing her into an impossible conflict between family loyalty and national justice.
