Overview
Bint 17 (Girl of 17) is a 1950s Egyptian romantic drama starring Zubaida Tharwat as Safaa, a law student in love with her classmate Kamal, played by Ahmed Ramzy. Their relationship meets fierce opposition from Safaa's father Ibrahim (Hussein Riad), who objects because Kamal's mother Horia (Zouzou Madi) runs a gambling house. Despite his best efforts to separate the couple, their bond proves unbreakable. When the father enlists his friend Dr. Refaat (Mahmoud Zulfikar) to intervene, Refaat surprises everyone by counseling the father to trust his daughter's heart — a gentle conflict between parental authority and young love.
