Al-Omr Wahed is an Egyptian comedy that opens with a company owner's failed attempt to seduce his secretary, who instead falls for and marries the company engineer, Nafi. Dismissed by the vindictive boss, the couple face unemployment — until Nafi boards a plane to Brazil to join his twin brother, only for the aircraft to crash with all passengers presumed dead. His wife and sister collect the insurance payout and move up in the world, until Nafi reappears alive, throwing everyone's carefully arranged new lives into comic chaos. A lively farce about love, greed, identity, and the inconvenient persistence of the living.
