Love in Danger is an Egyptian comedy drama film in which a theatre director casts one of his actresses in a leading role that pulls her deeper into her character than anyone anticipated. So immersed in her part as a skilled thief, she actually steals a precious necklace from a shop and flees toward Cairo. In a panic, she slips the necklace into the pocket of a famous singer, then sneaks into his home to retrieve it — only for him to discover her remarkable singing voice and recruit her into his troupe. The film plays with the thin line between performance and reality in a series of comic twists.
