
An Egyptian actress and producer, born in Assiut Governorate, Arab Republic of Egypt, as Samira Ahmed Ibrahim Khadr. She married the Lebanese producer Boutros Zreibat, who famously converted to Islam in order to marry her. Then she married the writer Wajih Naguib, with whom she gave birth to her only daughter, Jalila. Then she married the producer Adib Jaber, then she married the producer Safwat Ghattas, who first famously converted to Islam. Among her most important works: 1- Movies Al-Kharsaa 1961, Clash of Heroes 1962, Qandil Umm Hashem 1968, Umm Al-Arousa 1963, and Al-Shaima 1972. 2- Series Tomorrow the flowers will bloom 1984 and A Woman from the Time of Love 1998. The youngest child among seven siblings was born to a father who worked at the Assiut Court of Appeal. She moved with the family to Cairo when she was 6 years old, where she fell in love with Egyptian movie stars. Her father suffered cataracts in his eyes, which required him to be hospitalized. The family’s life was financially disturbed. Her older sisters worked in shops, while she and her sister, Khairiya Ahmed, knew the way to the Registry offices, and they worked as extras in films for 50 piasters a day, starting in 1951 until mid-1950. 1952, where she was assigned some small roles, such as the movie Sham El-Nessim 1952, in which she met producer Boutros Zreibat and married him, so she would get bigger roles in classic films such as Raya and Sakina 1952. She began to receive roles until the audience loved her for her calm features and her keenness to perform roles that gained the audience’s sympathy. She excelled in performing difficult, complex roles, such as the role of the mute in the movie Al-Kharsa’a 1961 and the role of the blind woman, which she played in 3 films: More Precious Than Aniya 1955, Qandil Umm Hashem 1968, and The Blind 1969. In 1979, she turned to television work, where she presented the series “Except the Tears of Sadness” in 1979. She also worked in radio series. Her last film was “Goodbye, My Son” in 1986. Then she devoted herself to acting and producing television series.
