Al-Lahab is an Egyptian comedy drama film that follows Adel, a young man traveling to Alexandria to complete his engagement to his fiancée Salma. When the bus breaks down and he is forced to continue on foot through a dark and unfamiliar road, the village residents spot him and immediately assume he is the fugitive murderer who has been terrorizing the region. He is handed over to the police — only for the real criminal to be apprehended that very same night. But the ordeal does not end with his exoneration. A lighthearted film about being in the wrong place at the wrong time, built around comic misidentification and the chaos that ensues when fear overtakes reason.
