The Spiteful Man is an Egyptian drama that traces the arc of a young man shaped by a poisoned inheritance. When his father, a company embezzler, is jailed and later dies in prison, the son abandons school and drifts into a life of crime, eventually becoming a partner in a theft gang. Then, unexpectedly, love intervenes: a chance meeting with an honest girl from a middle-class family confronts him with a choice between the criminal life he knows and the decent life he has never allowed himself to imagine. A character-driven drama about redemption, the cycles of hardship, and the possibility of change.
