Aldiyae is an Egyptian drama film centered on a young idealistic journalist named Wajih and his increasingly dangerous confrontation with Sami, a powerful and unscrupulous man targeted by Wajih's bold press campaign. Sami's efforts to silence Wajih through bribery fail, as does a brazen kidnapping attempt. Cornered and desperate, Sami finally targets the one person who can truly hurt Wajih — Nahid, the nurse he loves. The film builds steadily toward a tense climax, examining the price that principled journalism can exact on those who dare to practice it, and the ruthless lengths that the powerful will go to protect their interests.
