Night and Jail Bars is an Egyptian romantic drama set in the tense atmosphere of a prison household. When a power outage at the home of warden Tawfiq Abd Al-Hadi leaves his wife Samira in the dark, she asks him to send an inmate to fix the electricity. Ahmed arrives, and through repeated visits — each time the lights go out — Samira learns his story: a man unjustly imprisoned. What begins as chance encounters gradually deepens into a complicated emotional bond. As the warden grows suspicious of the recurring outages, the story builds toward an inevitable confrontation that questions loyalty, justice, and the walls — literal and figurative — that keep people apart.
