Alkharsaa, is a 1961 Egyptian movie, directed by Hassan Al-Imam, and starring Samira Ahmed, Emad Hamdy, Zaki Rostom. with a runtime of 120 minutes.
Alkharsaa is an Egyptian social drama centered on Naima, a mute young woman who loses her mother in childhood and grows up under the cruelty of her stepmother and the hostility of the village elder Atris. When the doctor Hussein arrives from outside the village and employs Naima as a nurse, she finally finds compassion — but the fragile peace shatters when the village discovers she is pregnant. Accused by the very people who should protect her, Naima is abandoned by family and community alike, leaving Hussein as her sole defender. The film is a stark portrait of social injustice, silence, and the courage it takes to stand against collective cruelty.
