Egyptian actress, born in the Gomrok neighborhood in Alexandria on May 4, 1912.
At the beginning of her life, she worked as a monologist and dancer, but her family objected to her working in art, so she fled from them to Lebanon with her friend (Khairiya Sedqi). She took her name and it became (Zeinab Sidqi) until she met the artist (Naguib Al-Rihani), who extended a helping hand to her and included her in his band and named her (Zeinat) to prevent confusion between her and the artist (Zeinab Sidqi).
She was married once at the beginning of her life, then went through a quick separation without children, so she became famous in cinema for playing the role of a spinster. The artist (Ismail Yassin) participated in many cinematic films, and also worked in his theater group.
Her cinematic activity decreased at the end of her life, and she suffered until she received a certificate of honor and an exceptional pension from President Anwar Sadat in 1976.
She died on March 2, 1978.
