Shari al-bahlawan, is a 1949 Egyptian movie, directed by Salah Abu Seif, and starring Camelia, Kamal Al-Shenawy, Hassan Fayek, with a runtime of 99 minutes. Content rating: PG-13.
Shari' Al-Bahlawan is an Egyptian comedy built around mistaken identities and romantic deception. Saeed is pathologically jealous of his wife Amina, Kamil secretly loves Mirvat — the wife of their traditional friend Ibrahim — and the tangled relationships collide when Kamil talks Saeed into ghost-writing love letters intended for Mirvat. The scheme spirals out of control when Saeed sends the same letter, in his own handwriting, to his wife Amina. Discoveries cascade: Amina uncovers the romantic letters, while Kamil's wife Zuhayra simultaneously realizes that letters addressed to Amina are written in her own husband's hand. The film is a sharp, fast-moving farce about jealousy, loyalty, and the comic chaos that follows when deception turns back on the deceiver.
