My Wife's Suitor, is a 1959 Egyptian movie, directed by Abbas Kamel, and starring Ismail Yasseen, Lola Sedki, Abdelsalam Al-Nabulsi. with a runtime of 105 minutes.
My Wife's Suitor is a classic Egyptian comedy built on a snowballing web of white lies. When the happily married Somaa loses his job, he lands a position as a secretary at a fashion house owned by the spinster Howayda and her brother Fawzy — but only on the condition that the employee be single. Somaa claims he is, hiding his marriage to his wife Lola. When Lola discovers the deception, she demands he quit; he refuses, so she takes a job as a model at the same fashion house. Fawzy then falls for Lola and proposes — not knowing she is already married. A sharply funny film about the domino effect of small deceptions.
