Overview

What a Madness is an Egyptian comedy film that follows Ikram, a happily married woman whose world is upended when she discovers her husband Hassouna Bey's infidelity. Her aunt Sharbat steps in with a series of creative schemes to help her save the marriage, but Ikram's mental state deteriorates to the point of threatening suicide. Desperate and out of options, Hassouna makes the outlandish decision to disguise himself as a wealthy woman in hopes of resolving his wife's emotional crisis — setting off a cascade of farcical situations. A comedic exploration of marital tension, family interference, and the lengths people go to when love is on the line.
