Baladay Wakhifa is an Egyptian musical comedy-drama set in a traditional popular neighborhood. Hanuma, a spirited young woman, is engaged to Mahrous, a dedicated but struggling musician with dreams of a brighter future. Her world is turned upside down when she catches the eye of Khaled Bek, a suave film producer who promises to make her a star and whisk her away from her humble surroundings. Seduced by the allure of fame, Hanuma turns her back on her community and her roots. But the battle for her soul is far from over — the eternal forces of good and evil each pull her in opposite directions, one tempting her to pursue her desires and the other urging her to reclaim her values and return to the right path.
