Elsetat Afaret is an Egyptian comedy film about a couple whose marriage has soured into relentless daily quarrels. When the wife dies, her husband decides to marry her best friend — a decision that enrages the wife's ghost, who proceeds to haunt the new couple at every turn. The film builds its humor from the supernatural rivalry between the living and the dead, until the ghost discovers that the new wife showers her daughter with genuine love and affection, bringing the haunting to a warm and comic resolution.
