An Egyptian actress, whose real name is (Aziza Imam Hussein), she was born in the city of Menoufia in 1920. Signs of acting talent appeared in her at a young age, so she left school and joined Mukhtar Othman’s troupe after he offered her to work with him in his troupe for a salary of 6 pounds per month.
She then worked in theater and cinema, then joined the Ramses Theater troupe with the artist Youssef Wehbe, and then worked in the National Theater. She was known for her beautiful, melodious voice, so she appeared on the radio, and became famous with director Mohamed Mahmoud Shaaban in the series (One Thousand and One Nights).
She began working in cinema with director Kamal Selim, who chose her to star in his film (Behind the Curtain). She also participated in the films (Lawahid, Ana Hurra, Al Kharasa, Rabaa Al Adawiya, The Coward and Love), and her series include: (Hind and Dr. Noman, Ghawish, Bakiza and Zaghloul, Wanis Diaries).
She died in 1996 at the age of 76.
