Overview

Bakiza and Zaghloul is an Arabic drama series that opens with the death of the wealthy Ashmawi, whose passing sets off a collision between two very different women. His widow Bakiza — arrogant and accustomed to privilege — is confronted by the late arrival of Zaghloul, Ashmawi's daughter from a previous relationship, who was raised in poverty completely unaware of her wealthy father. The drama deepens when it emerges that Ashmawi died deeply in debt, stripping Bakiza of the financial security she took for granted. Starring Suhair Al-Babyloni, the series mines rich comic and dramatic tension from the stark contrast between these two women as they navigate grief, shared loss, and a home with nothing left in it but each other.
