Zeinab Wal-Arsh is an Egyptian historical social drama following Zeinab, an Egyptian woman of Turkish descent who is married off young to a miserly and abusive man. As she searches desperately for a way out, she falls into the scheming hands of a corrupt newspaper editor who sees her only as an opportunity. Her personal struggle unfolds against the sweeping backdrop of Egypt's transformation around the July Revolution, where an old guard jealously guards its privilege and a new generation presses for change — with Zeinab caught in the crossfire between both worlds.
