Devilish Daughters is an Egyptian mystery drama in which a stranger arrives at a fishing village searching for the illegitimate child to whom he wishes to leave his inheritance. He dies before revealing the child's identity, leaving his money in the care of the village elder. Suspicion immediately falls on three women in the village whose pasts are deemed sufficiently "questionable": a merchant's daughter, a belly dancer, and a woman known to have been loved by many men. The hunt for the child's mother becomes a penetrating social critique of how communities judge women, turning a whodunit into a meditation on shame and collective prejudice.
