Overview
Malaf fi al-Adab (A File in Vice) is an Egyptian drama film that follows Said, a newly posted vice squad officer whose faith in justice is shattered on his very first case when his superior buries an investigation into the influential Alia Hanim. The experience hardens Said into a ruthless, emotionally detached officer. When his informant Sayed tips him off about women allegedly meeting in an apartment for illicit purposes, Said becomes so consumed with securing a conviction that he is willing to falsify evidence. A bold and unflinching critique of moral corruption within law enforcement.
