Anisat Wasaydat is an Egyptian social drama that probes the dangerous allure of wealth and the human cost of unfounded ambition. After losing their breadwinner, a small family leans on a generous uncle, but the children refuse to accept a modest life and chase prosperity by any available shortcut. The eldest daughter Samira falls prey to Naji, a wealthy man she meets through a friend, convinced that he intends to marry her — surrendering herself to him only to be abandoned when his interest fades. A cautionary social drama about the gap between what is promised and what is delivered, and the price paid by those who mistake exploitation for love.
