Al-Aqwiyaa is an Egyptian social drama in which Nadia arrives at the home of her relative Rushdi Al-Bagouri following her father's death, intent on channelling her inheritance into a factory that would benefit the peasant workers of the region. Her progressive vision clashes with the hostility of Rushdi's second son Ramzi, who subjects her to relentless harassment, while her son Adel remains ambivalent. When pressure becomes unbearable, Nadia decides to leave — but events take an unexpected turn that draws all parties into a deeper confrontation about wealth, responsibility, and power.
