An Egyptian actress, born with the name Ghanima Khalil Habib. Most sources stated that her name was (Hanuma Habib Khalil) in Cairo in 1918. She received her education at the (School of Arts). She was discovered by the pioneering Egyptian director (Mohamed Karim) and presented her for the first time in a small role in 1942 in the movie (Forbidden Love) opposite the musician (Mohamed Abdel Wahab). She also participated with him in a small role in the movie (Bullet in the Heart), which qualified her for the starring role for the first time in 1942 in the movie (Dreams of Youth). Her real beginning was when (Youssef Wehbe) discovered her performing a scene in one of the platoons, so he summoned her and his partner (Togo Mizrahi), and offered her to work with him exclusively in three films, which are: (Ibn Al-Haddad, A Great Artist, and My Children). She was given the starring role in the movie (The Great Artist), where she played the role of Madiha. In the same year, the artist starred in the movie Honeymoon with the artist Farid Al-Atrash. During a long artistic career that extended until 2012, she performed a large number of diverse roles between comedies and tragedies, and her roles varied between the roles of the heroine, the daughter, the lover, and then the mother in advanced stages. In her career, she presented a large artistic credit in more than 90 films, and her last cinematic appearance was in the movie (The Terrorist) with the artist (Adel Imam) in 1994 AD. Madiha Yousry was married four times, three of which were from within the artistic community. The first was from the singer and composer (Mohamed Amin), who founded a film production company that produced several films during their four years of marriage, including: (Dreams of Love, Gharam Badawiyya, and The Gentle Sex). After their separation, she married the artist and producer (Ahmed Salem), who was known for his adventures in 1946. Then they separated, then she married the artist (Mohamed Fawzi), with whom she co-founded the record company (Musrafoun), which was nationalized after the revolution. After their marriage, she co-starred with him in many films. Movies, such as (Fatima, Marika and Rachel, Oh Man, Eve's Daughters). As for her last marriage, she was to Sheikh Ibrahim Salama al-Radi, the sheikh of the Hamidiyya Shadhiliyya Sufi order. She announced her retirement from acting permanently in 2012. She died in 2018 after a long struggle with illness.
