Overview
Al Sharida is an Egyptian social drama series that dissects a marriage built on financial convenience but undermined by cultural incompatibility. Leila is a confident, educated lawyer; her husband Fathi is a wealthy contractor who never went to school. Despite coming from a modest background herself, Leila's intellectual self-image creates a growing chasm between her and a man she increasingly looks down on.
