An Egyptian monologue singer and actor, born in Cairo in 1931. His talent for monologue appeared since his studies at the Khedive School. He graduated from the Faculty of Law. He was introduced to cinema by director Niazi Mustafa through the film (Qamar 14) with the late artist Camellia. He worked with many stars of art and comedy such as (Shukou, Ismail Yassin). He enriched the artistic life with a variety of artistic works, and among his most prominent films are (Qasr Al-Shouq, The Case). Famous, don't ask me who I am. He also regularly performed monologues at City Lights concerts. At the end of his life, he resided in the United States of America until he died there. He retired from artistic work for a while after starring in the film (Empty Work) in 1955. He developed a state of depression towards the end of his life and traveled to his children in the United States. He won the Egyptian Society of Writers and Critics Award for his role in the movie (The Maid).
