Sweet Aziza is an Egyptian drama film starring Hend Rostom as Aziza, a beautiful dancer from Mansoura whose refusal of the mayor's son triggers a violent act of revenge — acid thrown at her face, destroying her looks and her livelihood. Undaunted, she rebuilds her life in Cairo by running a cabaret, where she falls for a charming regular played by Shokri Sarhan. Financial ruin forces her into blackmail, but a chance encounter with the sympathetic Dr. Raouf (Samir Sabri), who performs reconstructive surgery on her, offers Aziza the possibility of starting over. A sweeping melodrama about survival, resilience, and the price women pay for their independence.
