Dalal Al-Masria, is a 1970 Egyptian movie, directed by Hassan Al-Imam, and starring Magda El Khatib, Hussein Fahmy, Huda Sultan. with a runtime of 120 minutes.
Dalal Al-Masria is a classic Egyptian social drama following Atiat, an orphaned girl raised with dignity in the palace of a wealthy woman, until she is expelled when it is discovered she lost her virginity — with the woman never knowing it was her own nephew, Fou'ad, who was responsible. Cast out and alone, Atiat works in a factory where she falls for a co-worker, but poverty blocks their path to marriage. She reinvents herself as a dancer known as Dalal, only to be embroiled in a murder accusation — with Fou'ad as the presiding judge. The film is a richly layered drama about class, justice, female vulnerability, and the cruel ironies that govern women's lives in Egyptian society.
