Overview
El-Arafa is an Arabic political thriller film that follows Samia Abu Al-Saad, a university student arrested for her political activism and thrown into prison. There she meets Magdy, a police officer who risks his career and personal safety by hiding her in his home. When the head of intelligence discovers Magdy's actions and pressures his father to intervene, Samia is transferred to the prison hospital — but once again manages to escape. The film is a tense portrait of political repression, individual conscience, and the courage of those who defy authoritarian systems to protect the vulnerable.
