Overview

Wife from the Street is an Egyptian drama film built around Dalal, a cabaret singer whose charm attracts many admirers, but who sets her sights on the wealthy Mustafa and becomes his wife, moving into his estate. Mustafa's mother is shocked — she had hoped her son would marry his cousin. When an accident brings a doctor to treat the ailing mother, he recognizes Dalal as a former client from her past life. The doctor then proposes to Mustafa's cousin, and Dalal realizes that if this marriage goes forward, her hidden past will be exposed to her husband's family. Desperate to preserve her secret, she makes a drastic and dangerous decision that puts her on a collision course with the truth.
