Overview
Scandal Monger is an Egyptian drama following Samia, whose life is upended when she and her fiancé Anis are falsely arrested on drug trafficking charges — she is acquitted, but Anis serves years behind bars. After losing her mother, Samia rebuilds her life with her wealthy aunt's family and marries her cousin Ahmed. When Anis is finally released, he returns not with forgiveness but with a plan: he ingratiates himself with Ahmed and uses police documents to blackmail Samia into submission. Cornered and desperate, she resolves to fight back — a taut cat-and-mouse drama about the long reach of the past.
