Egyptian actress. She won the Miss Alexandria Award, which was organized by (Al-Jeel Magazine), when she was only fifteen years old. Her first cinematic appearance was in the movie (Jamila) in 1959, after which she participated in slightly larger roles in films, such as (The Traitor, Too Young for Love, My Crazy, Crazy Woman). In 1973, she starred in the television series (The Vortex), and in the following year she played her first cinematic starring in the movie (Bumba Kashar), through which she achieved widespread stardom. After that, she participated in several films until 1980, in which she starred in the film (Al-Batiniya), which made her one of the most important stars of the 1980s era. The films were sold under her name and title (Star of the Masses), and among her most important films in that period were (Wakalet Al-Balah, Five Doors, The Power of a Woman, Shahd Al-Malika, The Lost, terrorism). During the 1990s, she also presented more films that achieved significant revenues while they were shown in theaters, such as (Mission in Tel Aviv, Hikmat Fahmy, A Woman Who Shook the Throne of Egypt, Assassination, and 48 Hours in Israel). With the emergence of the new wave of comedy in cinema, she turned to working on television, and presented several series, including (A Woman’s Journey, Who Shot Hend Allam, Queen in Exile).
