Overview
Shaaytan Men Assal is an Egyptian family comedy about the exasperating yet tender experience of raising a mischievous child. When Sharif and his wife adopt young Simsim, convinced they cannot have biological children, they are quickly overwhelmed by the boy's impossible behaviour. Sharif's attempt to return him to the orphanage is refused, leading him into a reckless conspiracy involving a gangster that sees Simsim held in an abandoned house under the false pretense of a wealthy father. Things unravel further when a nanny from the orphanage arrives and reveals she is Simsim's biological mother — prompting Sharif to reconsider everything and fight to bring the boy home. A warm, comic tale about the messy realities of parenthood.
