Born in Alexandria, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce in 1963 from Ain Shams University. He worked as an employee at Cairo University, and moved between several jobs. He was an actor and became famous on the radio program “Hamsa Etab” with its phrase, “Wait for us tomorrow, Mr.” He began his life in the Sah La Qalbak band, and worked extensively on the radio, including “Hajj Falaq.” He also worked in theater and in the series “Boji and Tamtam.”
