Overview
Hekaya Laha El Agab is an Egyptian social drama following Mahmoud, who quits his job and uses his severance pay to purchase land, then secures a bank loan to launch an ambitious housing project. His life takes a destructive detour when he begins frequenting nightclubs and becomes infatuated with Nahid, a dancer whose allure leads him to lavish money on her while neglecting his wife Layla and their children. As Nahid gradually drains his finances, Mahmoud's real dreams crumble around him. The film is a cautionary tale about how ambition can be derailed by obsession, and the personal cost of trading a real life for a hollow illusion.
