The Bravest Man in the World, is a 1968 Egyptian movie, directed by Hasan El-Saifi, and starring Shwikar, Tawfiq Al-Deqen, Mohamed Reda. with a runtime of 105 minutes.
The Bravest Man in the World is an Egyptian comedy film built on a brilliant case of mistaken identity. Sanqar, a timid and severely nearsighted schoolteacher, is hopelessly in love with Shakshouka, daughter of Mu'allim Hussein — who insists on marrying her off to the Mu'allim Qarra despite knowing of the couple's feelings. When Sanqar loses his glasses on the street and a lion escapes from the zoo, he mistakes the wild beast for a sheep and plays with it fearlessly. In doing so, he inadvertently helps police capture the animal and is hailed as a hero overnight. The film is a sharp comic fable about how circumstance and perception can transform an ordinary, frightened man into a legend — changing his romantic fortunes along the way.
